Comet Baseball scores 12 in game one but Comets only take one game over three game series
Watford City, N.D. – Mayville State's offense hits strides in game one of the series but could not get any offense the rest of the series as the Blue Hawks take 2-out-of-three out.

The Mayville State Comets started the game out fast scoring four runs in the first inning on a three-run home run from LaRocque and bases loaded hit by a pitch by Senden.
Mayville State answered with three runs in the second inning on a solo home run from Lundmark, RBI fielders choice from Marquez and a sacrifice fly from Ferrera to make it 7-0 after two innings.
Dickinson State pushed in four runs in the top of the third and Watkins left runners on base and ended the Blue Hawk threat. MSU answered in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single from LaRocque to get back to a four-run lead.
MSU would add two more on a two-run home run from Marquez to make it 10-4. DSU would add a two-run home run in the seventh inning to cut the lead back to four. MSU would score two runs in the bottom of the seventh and win game one by a final score of 12-6.

Dickinson State scored the first run in the third inning and scored the first seven runs of the game and was up 7-0 after 7 ½ innings.
Caleb Jamison hit a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning as that was the only run that the Comets could produce in game one of the doubleheader on Saturday.

Dickinson State started the scoring in the last game of the series on Saturday with solo home runs in the second and third inning to jump out to an early advantage.
The Blue Hawks would add four runs in the fourth inning and extend their lead to six through four innings.
Mayville State would score three runs in the sixth inning on a Hughes single that scored Villanueva, a Lundmark double that scored Hughes, and a McCorrister single that scored Lundmark. Mayville State could only manage four hits in the game.
