BELLEVUE, Neb. – The 2024 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced women’s volleyball All-Conference teams and postseason awards Thursday evening. Awards were distributed during the honors presentation at John Muller Building Symposium Room on the campus of Bellevue (Neb.) on the eve of the North Star Volleyball conference postseason tournament’s final site. Ice cream social was held after the completion of the awards presentation.
Bellevue and Jamestown (N.D.) shared the final NSAA Women’s Volleyball regular-season conference title with 9-1 record each.
The six-team postseason tournament began on Friday, Nov. 8, with No. 4 seed Valley City State (N.D.) defeating No. 5 seed Dickinson State (N.D.) in the first quarterfinal match. No. 3 seed Dakota State (S.D.) also earned a 3-0 sweep over No. 6 seed Mayville State (N.D.) in the other quarterfinal match on Saturday, Nov. 9, in three straight sets.
No. 1 seed Bellevue and No. 2 seed Jamestown (N.D.) received the first-round bye and will play on Friday evening.
Kealy Kiviniemi of Bellevue was selected as the NSAA Women’s Volleyball Player-of-the-Year and Offensive Player-of-the-Year. Ellie Holen of Jamestown was named as the NSAA Women’s Volleyball Libero-of-the-Year.
Sadie Hansen of VCSU was voted as the North Star’s Setter-of-the-Year for the second consecutive year.
BU’s Trish Siedlik was chosen as the North Star Athletic Association’s Women’s Volleyball Coach-of-the-Year. Jayden Wilson of Valley City State was named as the NSAA Women’s Volleyball Assistant Coach-of-the-Year.
A total of 14 players are listed on the 2024 NSAA Women’s Volleyball All-Conference First-Team. Eight players are named on the Second-Team All-Conference distinction.
Bellevue and Jamestown each registered six All-Conference selections. Dakota State recorded four NSAA All-Conference recipients.
The North Star Athletic Association Champions of Character recipients were also honored at the awards presentation.
The NSAA All-Conference teams and postseason awards were selected by the league coaches.
