KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Six individuals from the North Star Athletic Association were listed on the 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball All-America teams and awards, announced by the national office Tuesday morning.
Ellie Holen of Jamestown (N.D.) was named the Defender of the Year for the third consecutive year. She was also named to the NAIA All-America First Team. She finished the season with 5.8 digs per set, which landed her at No. 1 in the nation in that category. She also ranks third in the nation in digs with 490 digs. The libero set a season-high 37 digs during the regular-season against Dakota State (S.D.) in October.
Eve Fountain and Kealy Kiviniemi of Bellevue (Neb.) were listed on the 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball All-America First Team.
Jamestown landed two additional recipients to the All-America teams, Aleah Zieske on the second team and Lexi Olson on the third team.
The 2024 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coach of the Year is Trish Siedlik of Bellevue. She led her team to the national championship match this season for the first time in program history. The Bruins finished the season as runner-up of 32-5 overall record. In her 19
th season, she nears the 700-win mark with an overall coaching record of 664-221.
The NAIA-VCA Executive Committee selects the NAIA All-America teams during the NAIA Championship. The pool of candidates comes from the All-Conference/CAC teams.
