Blue Hawks win 500th game in program history with 42-6 win over UJ

Dickinson N.D. – #22 Dickinson State earned the 500th win in program history with a 42-6 North Star Athletic Association win over the University of Jamestown on Saturday. Of those 500 wins, 346 have come since 1976 under head coaches Hank Biesiot and Pete Stanton, who have combined to go 346-149, a .698 winning percentage.
The Blue Hawks controlled the game for the full 60 minutes this weekend, holding Jamestown to just 191 total yards while gaining 582 on offense.
Quarterback Will Madler went 26-32 for 415 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also rushing for 17 yards and a score.
161 of those yards went to Semaj Clark who also added a touchdown in the first quarter.
Braden Zuroff led DSU on the ground with 58 yards and a score.
Dickinson State got touchdowns from six different players, with Madler, Clark, Zuroff, CJ Stinson, Jaxon Wienbar, and Jace Friez all finding the endzone for the Blue Hawks.
The Blue Hawk defense forced a safety in the fourth quarter after forcing a three-and-out near the UJ goal line and a bad snap on the punt attempt.
Jayden HeartwellRiley O'Donnell, and Dylan Dahlgren all had five tackles to lead the Blue Hawk defense, while Shel Osborne recorded the only DSU sack on the day.
DSU returns to action next week when they host Valley City State on Saturday, October 5th at the Biesiot Activities Center.
