BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce its academic scholar-athletes for the 2024 fall sports season Thursday. A total of 365 student-athletes received this prestigious academic achievement award.
The 365 recipients were recognized for their outstanding academic accomplishment in the classroom and on the playing field/court. The North Star’s fall sports included women’s cross country, men’s cross country, women’s volleyball, and football.
To be eligible for the NSAA Academic Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 on a 4.0 and participate in a junior varsity or varsity contest. In addition to the criteria, each athlete must be certified on an eligibility certificate, excluding freshman redshirts.
Jamestown (N.D.) led the list with 84 student-athletes, followed by Dakota State (S.D.) with 79 student-athletes. Dickinson State (N.D.) added 68 student-athletes, while Mayville State (N.D.) registered 57 student-athletes to the conference list. Valley City State (N.D.) recorded 51 student-athletes. Bellevue (Neb.) listed 26 student-athletes on the NSAA fall sports academic list.
