NSAA Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week No. 5 edition announced

Waldorf's O'Connor earns Women's Runner-of-the-Week honor

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced its fifth installment of women’s and men’s cross-country Runners-of-the-Week Tuesday.  Marissa O’Connor of Waldorf (Iowa) was selected as the Women’s Runner-of-the-Week.  There were no nominees for the Men’s Runner-of-the-Week.

Marissa O’Connor – Waldorf (Iowa) – Freshman – Murietta, Calif. – O’Connor clocked a time of 25 minutes, 51.2 seconds in the Dan Hutson Invitational in Waverly, Iowa, for Waldorf (Iowa).  The cross-country meet featured numerous NCAA Division III schools and one school from NCAA Division II school.  O’Connor finished 81st in the 6K racecourse, featuring a total of 218 runners.

Looking Ahead
Dickinson State (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) resume to cross country action Friday as they compete in the Jamestown (N.D.) Jimmie Invitational.

Bellevue (Neb.) and Dakota State (S.D.) return to action on Saturday morning as they run in the Briar Cliff (Iowa) Invitational in McCook Lake, S.D.
