BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association Golfers-of-the-Week announced its fourth edition of 2023-24 season Wednesday.  Maria Pinedo of Bellevue (Neb.) was selected as the Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week.  There were no nominees for the Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week.

NSAA Women’s Golfer of the Week
Maria Pinedo – Bellevue (Neb.) – Junior – Neiva, Colombia – Pinedo tied for first place in the Hastings (Neb.) Bronco Fall Invitational for Bellevue (Neb.).  She fell on the fourth playoff hole to Iowa Western’s Baylie Pike.  Pinedo finished at six-over-par (150 total strokes) in the two-day tournament.  In the final round, she carded a 1-under 35 on the front nine.  The Bruins captured the Bronco Fall Invitational team title.

Looking Ahead (Men’s/Women’s)
Bellevue (Neb.) men’s golf team returns to action on Monday and Tuesday, competing in the two-day Flyer Intercollegiate tournament in Lemont, Ill.

Valley City State (N.D.) women’s and men’s golf teams travel to Moorhead, Minn., Friday for the dual meet with Minnesota State Community and Technical College.  The Vikings continue their action on Monday and Tuesday in the two-day Marauder Fall Invitational in Bismarck, N.D.  Mayville State (N.D.) will also compete in the NCAA Division II Mary (N.D.) tournament on Monday and Tuesday in Bismarck.

Waldorf (Iowa) women’s and men’s golf teams are scheduled to host their own home invitational on Friday, followed by the Warrior Match on Saturday.  Dickinson State (N.D.) is also scheduled to compete on both days at Waldorf.
