BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association Golfers-of-the-Week announced the return of Golfers-of-the-Week Tuesday, the sixth edition of the weekly honor.  Maria Pinedo of Bellevue (Neb.) was selected as the Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week.  There were no nominees for Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week.

NSAA Women’s Golfer of the Week
Maria Pinedo – Bellevue (Neb.) – Senior – Neiva, Colombia – Pinedo finished in seventh place in the 45-player field at the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate for Bellevue (Neb.).  The golf tournament was held at the 5,900-yard, par-72 Lake at Las Vegas Golf Club.  Pinedo finished the first-round score of 77 strokes, second round of 76 strokes, and third round of 79 strokes.  She finished the tournament with 232 strokes (16-over-par).  She registered a team-best nine birdies in the tournament.

Looking Ahead (Men’s/Women’s)
Bellevue (Neb.) plays in the Kyle Blaser Invitational on Monday and next Tuesday (March 17-18) in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Dickinson State (N.D.) is idle until March 31-April 1 as they compete in the NCAA Division II tournament, South Dakota Mines in Rapid City, S.D.

Jamestown (N.D.) returns to action on April 7-8 as they compete in the NCAA Division II Augustana (S.D.) Invitational in Sioux Falls, S.D.  Mayville State (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) also return on the same days as they head to Mitchell, S.D., for the Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) Invitational.
