2024-25 NSAA Golfers-of-the-Week No. 4 edition announced

BU's Pinedo selected to this week's NSAA Women's Golfer-of-the-Week

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association Golfers-of-the-Week announced their fourth edition of 2024-25 season Wednesday.  Maria Pinedo of Bellevue (Neb.) was named as Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week.  There were no nominees for the Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week.

NSAA Women’s Golfer of the Week
Maria Pinedo – Bellevue (Neb.) – Senior – Neiva, Colombia – Pinedo captured the individual title at the Ottawa (Ariz.) Fall Invitational, played at the 5,840-yard, par-72 Sterling Grove Golf Club, for Bellevue (Neb.).  She recorded three rounds at or below par, posting rounds of 72-71-72.  It marked her second straight title, and she has now recorded five consecutive rounds at or below par.  Pinedo registered 10 birdies, an eagle, and 33 pars in the 54-hole tournament.

Looking Ahead (Men’s/Women’s)
Bellevue (Neb.) men’s golf team heads to Hastings, Neb., for the two-day Nebraska Intercollegiate tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The Comet Invitational, hosted by Mayville State (N.D.), continues today after finishing the first round Tuesday.  Dickinson State (N.D.), Jamestown (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) are also competing in the tournament.
