All-Conference teams & postseason awards announced

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced their 2024-25 men’s basketball All-Conference teams and postseason awards Tuesday afternoon.
Dickinson State (N.D.) won the final ever North Star Athletic Association Men’s Basketball regular-season outright title with a 12-3 league record.  The Blue Hawks host No. 2 seed Jamestown (N.D.) in the postseason tournament’s championship game Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. (Central Time)/7 p.m. (Mountain Time).

Kose Egbule of Dickinson State was chosen as the league’s Player-of-the-Year.  John White, Jr., of Mayville State was voted as the league’s Defensive Player-of-the-Year.  Tyrel Creger of Valley City State (N.D.) was named as the conference’s Newcomer-of-the-Year.  Lane Tietz of Dakota State (S.D.) was selected as the NSAA’s Freshman-of-the-Year award. 

DiSU’s Derek Selvig was chosen as the conference’s Coach-of-the-Year award. 

The NSAA Men’s Basketball All-Conference First Team featured five seniors, while the Second Team All-Conference has four juniors and a senior.

The following athletes were selected by the conference coaches as All-Conference First and Second Teams.  There is a list of Honorable Mention recipients, as well as a five-member NSAA All-Defense Team.
