2025 NSAA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference & postseason awards announced

12 NSAA wome's outdoor track & field meet records were set on May 8-9 in Dickinson, N.D.

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) held their final championship event in conference era on May 8-9.  Dickinson State (N.D.) was the host of the 2025 NSAA outdoor track & field conference meet, held at Badlands Activity Center and Roger Huffman Field (at Biesiot Activities Center).

The Blue Hawks cruised to their consecutive women’s team title, their ninth title in the past ten seasons.  Dickinson State scored the conference meet record of 339 points.  Dakota State (S.D.) was second with 241 points.  Jamestown (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) finished in a two-way tie for third with 100 points each.  Bellevue (Neb.) placed fifth in the team standings.

The postseason awards included Field and Track Athletes-of-the-Meet, NSAA Most Valuable Athlete and Coach-of-the-Year.  Those awards were announced at the conclusion of the conference meet on May 9.

Kori Nagel of DiSU named to the Field Athlete-of-the-Meet.  Shayne Wittkopp earned the conference’s Coach-of-the-Year for the sixth consecutive season.

Karly Just of Valley City State earned a pair of postseason awards.  She received the Track Athlete-of-the-Meet for scoring the most points in the running events.  She was also voted by the league head coaches as the NSAA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Most Valuable Athlete.

A total of 12 (one tied) North Star Athletic Association conference meet records were set.

Athletes earning All-Conference recognition must be in the top three individually and two relay teams.  The complete list of the NSAA Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference is listed below:
